The tribune seats used in the stadium have been made in accordance with EN 12727-4 TUV and TS EN 13200-4 standards by inflating.
In order to prevent the products from being adversely affected by the outdoor conditions of the seat, a UV additive is added to the raw material. The fastness value of the seats complies with EN-13200-4 standards and a color fastener with a light fastness of 8 was used to prevent color fading.
Göztepe Stadium, the construction of which started in 1942 and opened in 1949, was named after the legendary football player and captain Gürsel Aksel who died in 1973.
After 1973, the name of the stadium was Göztepe Gürsel Aksel Stadium. The area used as a facility for a period was demolished in 2017 and the new construction process started.
It was rebuilt in the same place where Göztepe was born, in the same area.

Most of the structural features and architecture of the stadium were constructed by the architect Göztepe President Mehmet Sepil .
